Established in 1985, we have offered our agents and brokers a complete line of great life and health insurance products from the nation’s top insurance providers.

Why We Do It

Over the last 40 years I have seen the independent agent struggle with many parts of the business. Leads, commissions, sales support, product, and sales training to name a few.

I started OBIS to change this. I was sick and tired of watching good people being ripped off. Renewal commissions being stolen, outrageous vesting periods, lead debit balances padded by management, reselling old leads that have been worked, lack of training, contracting for the sake of contracting an agent with no follow-up, no respect for what the producer must do to make a living.

I believed that if I was going to fail, let it be by my hand and not someone else’s. Talk is cheap, actions speak louder than words, so do the results.

How We Do It

Years of experience have taught us a few things.

  1. Vested commission.

    100% on Day one. We provide the producer the best contract commission levels we can. Most are based on the carrier’s requirements. That’s why we pay bonuses.

  2. Back-office support and consulting case design.

    We consult with our agents all the time. If you have questions or need assistance with a design strategy, the team at OBIS LLC are here for you.

  3. Sales Training

    Most agents benefit from a sales process, use of a fact find process and techniques to develop additional cross selling opportunities by identifying gaps in protection. How to uncover assets without being intrusive. Focus on a prospect’s pain points and how to find them. OBIS LLC has developed proven sales tracks and programs to prepare the agent for the various interactions with prospective clients.

  4. Lead Generation

    Finding new prospects can be expensive and difficult. Prospecting changes all the time and is directly affected by economics, government regulation and carrier requirements. Agents struggle with converting referrals and don’t contact the client after the sale. Any agent can purchase direct mail, prospect contact lists, or advertise on social media. OBIS is consistently creating new lead systems. We can show you how to increase the number of appointments and close more sales.
